Since when has it become tantamount to a old fashioned "for sale" sign?However it is only used by some, and not all and not totally interchangable to say with having a row of cars with their hood up.
We went on our customary Sunday ride in the countryside and in passing several little pueblos, I finally snapped a few shots.
So, next time you see one of these bright florescent reflective triangle thingies on the side of the road you will know that you are coming up to someone selling some cars.......
Or perhaps not.......

Kinda like the left-turn signal. It could mean the car ahead is gonna turn left, or it could mean he´s telling you to pass. Guess wrong and CRASH!
For me, there is no other single element of the Mexican culture that says it all so loonily well.
Yep, try and explain to visitors why the guy in front wants to turn left for miles....
