Their power, plain and simple. Money to the department of education, which has failed to teach are children anything except how bad the United States are and that we are the reason everyone hates us. Other departments also waste money, the politicians treat money like a bunch of drunken sailors.
The schools keep asking for more money and they get it, only to keep failing to teach the children. I see on TV all the time where reporters ask questions about Washington happenings and all you see is a blank stare.Hell in Nevada they asked a dozen students where Afghanistan was located and only one could tell them.
The educational system has failed, it's time to ship our kids to Europe or China where they might have a chance to learn something besides video games.
