Well, it is a battle sometimes to grow your own food and fruit, vegetables and so on. I discovered an uninvited guest eating at our doorstep. I have a few citrus trees. My wife pointed out to me that something was eating the leaves.
Hummm, looks like a big bug of some sort.
Big bites.
Nope, tiny.
They only come out to feast when I go to sleep.
I tricked them one night.
Now I have to figure out how to get rid of them before they eat the tree down to the roots.
Just one of the wonders of nature.......earwigs....

yuk, is it an earwig or a cutter ant?
you can try making an infusion of oil [soy, corn etc] with hot chiles, a garlic infusion is supposed to work as well. Or ivory soap [i don't know the local equivalent] and water. then spray it on the leaves. avoid the fruit.
You can get insecticidal soap (at least here in the USA), which you mix with water and spray on. This needs to be reapplied fairly frequently, but isn't toxic, and thus suitable for crops.
