Frost on the windsheld? Mexico? Naaa!

We had to go to Morelia early a few days ago, we got up early, planning to leave about 7:30. But our trip was delayed because I had to run the defroster on the windshield for 5 minutes to get the ice off the windshield.
The ice was so thick that the wipers would not get it all off for at least 5 minutes. So those of you who think of warm sandy beaches, think again......

One of my compadres in town was ridiculed for doing observations of the weather in his retirement, but based on our unique weather situation up on the top of the world here, I may invest in one of those inside outside thermometer gizmo's and let you now exactly how cold it gets.....
No one will probably believe me, Later on I check the weather site on the net and it said that for Patzcuaro it dropped down to 36 degrees.

Ok, we are at least 800 ft higher so we are about 8000ft, so it was probably right around 32.

Chilly,
Tonight we have both fireplaces running and I have a long sleeve sweater that I am wearing...

Nights like this make me thing I would enjoy a night or two at the coast. Just checked and Zihuatanejo which is about 120 miles due west is showing a high of 83 and a low of 72 today.....

I just need to get that hot tub purchased and installed with solar heat........

Inside/outside thermometer? Just get two cheap ones. Put one outside and one inside. That´ll do the trick, and it will cost less. I always like to spend less than more.

Tancho - Have several of the inside/outside jobs - very convenient and not much denero.

Cold here too - but that would be 47 F BURRRRRR!laterion

Hot tubs solve next to every problem.

another good use for a credit card. A makeshift icescaper. It is what I used most of the time in Alaska.

What is it with old people and the need to constantly know the temperature? Are they unable to just know when it's hot and when it's cold?

Don't listen to them. Get an internet connected, remote controllable, indoor/outdoor, video enabled, 3D capable, High Definition thermometer. At least one.

We are going to Cabo next week, I'll think of you when it's 85 on the beach...

Mike and Cynthia....we have a real fireplace, not a puny one like Felipe has, we need it! Check out: http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_KkprCJsQ7eE/TMdaODpzxbI/AAAAAAAABnA/0Kp2tly3gA8/s1600/fireplace2.jpg from about two weeks ago.

Pat....Have a great time in Cabo...don't forget that's not the real Mexico...Internet controlled thermometer, I like that...

Jennifer, we need something to do, so checking our temperature to be sure we still have feeling to our external extremities is important at our age...
Chrissy and Kieth, I'll have to try the credit card...good idea!

Steve..you got me thinking recently of that hot tub...if Calypso will send me the plans on a cheap form of heat..
I'll start looking for a cheap thermometer now, so I can more accurate on the chill factor!

Refried Dreamer, GDL is fortunate in not being too hot or cold......

If you are referring to Felipe, why, we were just kidding him as he so often kids others.

Windshield scraper: one of those inexpensive baker's plastic bowl scrapers. Do you know how hard it is to replace a credit card from here?

But we haven't needed to scrape windshields yet), as we keep our vehicle inside our garage.

Don Cuevas

Si, si - I did see that previous post with your diggity-dogs and your nice fireplace...I just like to give Señor Zapata a hard time. Someone has to do it!

Yes Mike and Cynthia, Felipe does need a poke or jab occasionally. Hell, Felipe's ashtray won't even accept a full size log in it.....
