Another day another manifestation.......

We had to go into Morelia today for our 3rd round at the immigration office. This time we had our fingerprints done and were told to come back in 15 days.

This makes it the 4th trip in 2 weeks. On the positive side, I guess we will not have to do this for awhile....

I hope..

Anyway on the way out of town all hell breaks loose. As we travel down the periferico, heading west, traffic is at a standstill.

We cross the overpass by Walmart and go about two blocks where one does an U turn to go back towards Patzcuaro.

Traffic is stopped.

It took us about 15 minutes to get from the U turn to the hiway going towards Patzcauro.

Just as we merged on to the hiway, helicopters, police with riot gear, motorcycles start going south bound in the  north bound lanes.

At least the police pushed them all the way off the hiway and onto the side street to let the traffic start moving again.

What a pain.....
