Man it's cold outside

Maybe because their is thunder, lightning and tons of hail.

The outside thermometer last night during the rain said 52 degrees, same time the night before was around 65.

It doesn't help that the hail didn't seem to melt too fast either.

The gutters were overflowing, we had our own cascading waterfall right from the gutters. They are overflowing because the 1 1/2 inch pipe cannot handle the amount of water from the roof.

Waking this morning, taking the dogs out I notice that there was still some left over hail from last nights downpour.
It's only about a inch thick, but last night the rain lasted for about two hours.

The best things about the storm last night, is that our new skylights didn't leak! Not a drop.
With the amount that it pour it would be the test.

The patio filled up with tons of water and hail, if you want to see a video you can go here.
It's about two minutes long, lots of noise too!

It presently only 57, so hopefully it will warm up a tad....just a little to around 70 today.
One can hope.

Nice downpour, natures sound effects sounded great, flash looked close.

Judging from the cascade coming off your roof, you had more rain than we did. I could hear hail, but I never saw the icy little pellets. Nevertheless, it was a good, solid, Michoacán type rain, and we were glad to have it.

The basil and snow peas are looking good!

No way! I'm jealous. We're stifling, heavy cloud cover, about 20 drops on the patio. . .I'd kill for a full-blown downpour. Even hail would be better than this.

You will get it pretty soon, so far each afternoon this week has had thunder and lightning, some rain, some a lot harder than others, hopefully my plants will survive the hail we got the last few days.....
It's doing it as I type right now....

As soon than I hit send on that comment there was a CRACK of thunder and it rained! I mean it rained! Lovely, wet, wild, white-out, stinky rain.

No hail tho. We got gypped.

:) Hope your crops and flowers are ok.
