At least the rains have slowed down

Quiet is only broken by distant sounds of the chain saws, at least they are not close to our side of the hill anymore.

They have subsided to a distant whine far away now. Maybe because they found some talamontes buried a distance down the road.....That may have been some motivation to move further down the road...

Talamontes are the guys that come out at night to cut down trees in forests and other locations, a illegal activity.....

Some don't understand why we don't live in the town.

Nights like this, quiet, the full moon shining through the pines, sounds of rustling leaves in the wind.

Only broken by the sound of a truck in the distant with their Jakebrakes. Or a occasional cannon blast from Patzcuaro or Tzurumutaro or one of the other noisy communities....

If you´re gonna write TzurumĂștaro, we insist it be done right. Starts with the letter T.

And the nice moon shone down on us too last night.

I stand corrected, It must have dropped off, since I have applied the correct toponymy for you cute little hamlet before, my usual careless mistake wanting to get to the publishing deadline.

Hey Constantino, happy to hear you're home safe and sound. How's the plumbing under the slab?

And here's a question for grins, 'Who played the captain of the Caine in the Caine Mutiny?'

You're missed elsewhere in this world. Say hi to Woody and Taz for us.

Well, the capt was Warner Anderson, and the Commanders were Tom Tully and Humphrey Bogart. Do you remember that Warner Anderson was Tully's partner in Lineup?

The hole in the pipe looked like a welding arc strike, hole about 1/32 of an inch round with burn marks around it. It happened right after a local lightning strike, a real close lightning strike, so it somehow was related. I though it may have be corrosion from the steel in the slab, but it was about 8 inch below that....
All is fine, say hi to all, we will miss not see you guys coming down this year...maybe next?

I don't remember Lineup, I must be too young. Apparently they played in 1943's 'Destination Tokyo' with C Grant as well (which I also don't remember).

I hope you're not planning on visiting Honduras for awhile. Seems a little unfriendly down there.

How's the economy in Patzcuaro compared to two years ago?

The economy in Mexico is not as bad as the US. Judging from what is in the stores in Guadalajara and Morelia, Marlin says it's better stuff than in California....Well we all no that! (especially Northern)
Some small shops that didn't have a tortilla's chance of survival anyway are gone, to be expected. Like a guy who opens a restaurant with no parking in sight...

Lineup was later called San Francisco Beat and used the building across from Portsmouth Sq as their headquarters, later used by Raymond Burr in Ironsides....

What do you mean too young...you are an old fart too!
